SSPH+ Annual Meeting 2024: Forward with New Energies

On 7-8 May 2024, the SSPH+ Annual Meeting took place at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur under the theme "Forward with New Energies." The event brought together public health researchers, students, and professionals for two days of discussions, networking, and exchange of ideas.

Participants explored key topics such as digital transformation in healthcare, student mental health, and strategies for effective prevention and health promotion. Discussions also focused on designing impactful public health programs and the future of SSPH+ journals. In addition, SSPH+ organized several events specifically tailored to PhD students and young researchers, including the IGC Students Meeting, Career Speed Dating, and the launch of the SSPH+ Postdocs. A significant milestone at this year’s meeting was the welcoming of HES-SO as a new SSPH+ member, further strengthening the network of academic public health institutions. As always, the meeting was a great opportunity for networking and collaboration. Looking ahead, the SSPH+ Annual Meeting 2025 will take place on 4-5 June in Bern and will mark the 20th anniversary of SSPH+.
