Award for best published PhD article

Since 2010 SSPH+ has been annually awarding the best published article of a SSPH+ PhD student. In 2022, the winner of the best published article award was Dr. Benedetta Armocida from the University of Geneva. This award was given for the following article: "Burden of non-communicable diseases among adolescents aged 10–24 years in the EU, 1990–2019: a systematic analysis of the Global Burden of Diseases Study 2019", available to read here.

Dr. Benedetta Armocida

Dr. Benedetta Armocida is a medical doctor, with a masters degree in tropical medicine and global health. She has been working as a research assistant in maternal and child health since 2018, and she is currently involved in the Italian Global Burden of Disease Initiative. Her main research topics are maternal and child health, with a specific focus on adolescent health, non-communicable diseases, gender-based violence, and global health policy.
