Science Communication for a Lay Audience in Switzerland (SciComOA)

After two years, the Accessible Science: Science Communication for a Lay Audience project, funded by swissuniversities came to a close in 2025. It held the aim of making current public health and education research more accessible to the general population in Switzerland. The project translated high-quality open-access research into engaging, easy-to-understand short formats for non-expert audiences. Articles were drawn from four independent Swiss journals: Swiss Medical Weekly, the SSPH+ International Journal of Public Health, SSPH+ Public Health Reviews, and MedienPädagogik. Through this initiative, SSPH+ strengthened science communication efforts and supported greater public engagement with evidence-based public health research.
