2025

Outlook

Looking ahead to 2026, SSPH+ continues with a range of interesting event offers. A primary highlight is the SSPH+ Annual Meeting 2026, which will be hosted by the University of Fribourg from June 23–24 under the timely motto, "Protecting Science – Protecting Health." This will be followed by the prestigious 35th SSPH+ Lugano Summer School (LSS)  from August 17–22, offering an extensive program of 12 interactive courses and plenaries focused on public health policy, economics, and management. Additionally, the Swiss Public Health Conference 2026 will take place in Lucerne on September 2–3, exploring the theme "Public Health and the Beauty of Complexity." These flagship events, alongside specialized offerings like the Residential Summer Course in Epidemiology in Florence and the IGC Course Program, underscore our ongoing mission to bridge the gap between research, policy, and practice on both a national and international stage.

SSPH+ Forest

Our commitment to sustainability continues to flourish through the SSPH+ Forest. This initiative bridges the gap between scientific achievement and planetary health by awarding geolocated trees to our top researchers and Honorary Fellows. With 48 trees currently planted and cared for by local communities worldwide, the forest serves as a living tribute to the excellence of our PhD students and faculty. As we continue to build this green infrastructure, we celebrate the fact that every new scientific insight at SSPH+ contributes to a healthier, more sustainable world.
