SSPH+ Directorate

In 2025, after many years of dedicated service as a member of the SSPH+ Directorate, Prof. Dr. Antoine Flahault retired. Prof. Dr. Viktor on Wyl was appointed Academic Director for a one-year term, assuming the role on 1 October 2025 from Prof. Dr. Luca Crivelli, in accordance with the rotating chair principle. Moreover, SSPH+ was pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Murielle Bochud and Prof. Dr. Nicole Probst-Hensch as Academic Co-Directors. The SSPH+ team was further strengthened by the arrival of Project Manager Dr. Maša Davidović. Dr. Emily Reeves was temporarily on maternity leave but now continues her role at SSPH+ as Project Manager.

Members are actively involved in multiple national and international health, research, and policy bodies. These include participation in DigiSanté, the SAMW executive board), national research coordination platforms (such as the National Coordination Platform Clinical Research (CPCR), The Swiss Cohort and Biobank | SSPH+), and evaluation boards (of e.g. Swiss National MD-PhD Program). They also represent SSPH+ in key organizations such as Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN) and contribute to academic initiatives like the SSPH+ Lugano Summer School, as well as broader collaborations including the European Observatory on Health Systems & Policies and the Public Health Cluster of the National Science Advise Network.
